As Derbies go the Midlands derby is up there with the fiercest rivalries that English football has to offer. Dating as far back as the 5th Nov 1887 when Villa beat Small Heath Alliance as Birmingham were then known 4-0 in the FA Cup, it's one of the oldest rivalries in the country.

Birmingham have had it rough though with the results mostly going in Villa's favour over the years but it's just one of those games where anything could happen.
Villa Wins: 54
Birmingham Wins: 38
Draws: 33
Fast forward to 2018 and both clubs are having very different seasons. Whilst Villa sit 3rd chasing down one of those automatic promotion slots, Birmingham had a poor start and sit just above the relegation zone with it all still to play for.
When the two sides met back in October they played out a pretty dull draw so let's hope for bags of goals in this one. Birmingham haven't beat Villa in 5 attempts with the last win coming in the League Cup in 2010 (Which Birmingham went on to win).
Things usually get spicy off the pitch though and the police have their hands full for these games as you can see in the video below
